I chose three restaurants that were showered in awards - looks (and tasted) like I and the award givers got it right. Pizzeria Megaone, Osteria Barberini and Spizzalas Pastas are the mouthwatering gourmet restaurants I chose. 

But I will tell you about my favourite Pizzeria Megaone nicknamed the Restaurant with the best atmosphere! This sublime restaurants secret to being so good? They use the most ancient Italian pizza making tecniques this along with only using the finest ingredients such as champagne ham, buffalo mozzeralla and chorizo sausage make them the most celebrated pizzeria in Italy. Their friendly and efficient service was also crucial to winning best pizzeria in Italy three times as well as the famed Michelin Award. To make you feel welcome they even hang your national flag over the doorway! 



I started my heavenly meal with a mouth watering cheese platter with an amazing texture and a appetising yet crisp and fresh salad with a vinaigrette dressing on the side. It was a wide variety of vibrantly coloured cheeses. For me the standout delicacies were the honey smoked manuka and the appetizing barbecued cheddar cheese. Then came the utterly brilliant moment the restaurant had a wide selection of pizzas but I chose the chefs special it was called A.L.B.O.E (which I later found out meant a little bit of everything). It was divine. A delicious bomb of sweet, bitter and sour flavours. The lamb shanks with lemon pepper seasoning were an invigourating punch of flavour and the luscious red tomatoes melted sensationally on my tounge all of the flavours mingled together to create a harmony of perfect flavours there were even truffles yes TRUFFLES on a 22.50 pizza! After my enormouse meal I had to wait a while before ordering dessert. My decision was to choose the tempting gelato tower. You could choose one of 20 flavours I chose right. Three monstrous scoops of excellently flavoured lime gelato inspired my taste buds while the raspberry sauce excited my pallete.

Overall I give this restaurant a 10/10 for outstanding service (they delivered my meal to me in a full restaurant in under 10 minutes classic design and architecture but mainly for the lively and tasty food.
